In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in East Herzegovina (Stolac area) and on Peljesac Peninsula. In Aladinići in East Herzegovina every eighth inhabitant had the family name Lopin.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Lopin live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in four Croatian counties, four cities and 8 other places, mostly in Zuljana on the Peljesac peninsula (30), Dubrovnik (<10), Metkovic (<10), Zaton (<5), and in Gornje Bazje in Virovitica area (<5).
