Surname Ličina in modern Croatia

Ličina families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Karlovac. According to some sources they are from Montenegro, but mogu biti Croats, very rarely Bosniaks. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Karlovac and Zagreb. In Tušilović in Karlovac every fourth inhabitant had the family name Ličina.

Prevalence

About 260 people with faimily name Ličina live in Croatia today, in 140 households. There were 470 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent.
They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 31 cities and 33 other places, mostly in Zagreb (65), Karlovac (20), Sisak (15), Tusilovic (15), and in Rijeka (10).
