In Croatia, Lehman families are generally Croats (from Varazdin area ), very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Osijek and Beli Manastir.
Prevalence
About 20 people with faimily name Lehman live in Croatia today, in 12 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in four Croatian counties, four cities and threee other places, mostly in Beli Manastir (<10), Osijek (<5), Porec (<5), Branjin Vrh (<5), and in Turcin in Varazdin area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1929 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
