Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Lebec live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 70 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in 6 Croatian counties and 10 other places, mostly in Samarica (10) and Babinac (10) in Bjelovar area, Laminac in Cazma area (<10), Bjelovar (<10), and in Donja Petricka in Bjelovar area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
