In Croatia, Lapac families are Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Beli Manastir area and in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Sanski Most area). In Lušci Palanka in Cazins Region (Bosnia) every seventh inhabitant had the family name Lapac.
