In Croatia, Laci families are predominantly Albanians (from Kosovo ), rarely Croats (from Cakovec ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Kosovo.
Prevalence
About 10 people with faimily name Laci live in Croatia today, in four households only. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in three Croatian cities only: in Zagreb (10), Cakovec (<5), and in Varazdin (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1925 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
