In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Knin area and in Zagreb. In Rudopolje Bruvanjsko in Knin area every ninth inhabitant had the family name Krtinić.

About 120 people with faimily name Krtinić live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 230 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 12 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Rijeka (10), Ondic in Obrovac area (<10), Vukovar (<10), and in Zapresic (<10).
