Korolija families are generally Serbs and they are mostly from Knin area , less frequently Croats (Zadar). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Knin area and in Knin. In Ivoševci in Knin area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Korolija.
Prevalence
About 180 people with faimily name Korolija live in Croatia today, in 90 households. There were 300 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 12 cities and 15 other places, mostly in Ivosevci in Knin area (60), Zagreb (25), Zadar (20), Rijeka (15), and in Vukovar (10).

Family name Korolija (including: Coroliya , Choroliya ) is present in 14 countries on four continents.
