Konta families are Croats and they are mostly from western Bosnia. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Western Bosnia (Livno area) and in Zagreb. In places Držanlije and Drinova Međa in Western Bosnia every seventh inhabitant had the family name Konta.

They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 22 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Zagreb (40), Rijeka (25), Split (20), Kastel Kambelovac (10), and in Cadjavica in Slatina area (<10).
