Komlenac families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Djakovo area , but often Croats (from Pakrac ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pakrac and in Djakovo area. In Gornji Grahovljani in Pakrac every third inhabitant had the family name Komlenac.
Prevalence
About 110 people with faimily name Komlenac live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 300 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 24 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Pakrac (10), Rijeka (<10), Osijek (<10), and in Bjelovar (<10).
Outside Croatia
At least five families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to Germany (4) and the United States (1). Family name Komlenac is present in 6 countries on four continents. The family name "Komlenac " is used by small number of people in Algeria and small number in the United States.
