Kolarik families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Djakovo area , but often Slovaks (also from Djakovo area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Djakovo area and in Osijek. In Jurjevac Punitovački in Djakovo area every tenth inhabitant had the family name Kolarik.
Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Kolarik live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 30 percent. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Osijek (20), Jurjevac Punitovacki in Djakovo area (20), Djakovo (<10), Vuka in Djakovo area (<5), and in Zagreb (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over sixty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
