In Croatia, Kodrin families are almost entirely Croats (from Labin ), very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Labin.
Prevalence
About 30 people with faimily name Kodrin live in Croatia today, in 12 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number tripled. They are located in four Croatian counties, threee cities and four other places, mostly in Zagreb (<10), Potpican in Labin area (<10), Labin (<10), Duga Resa (<5), and in Galovic Selo (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
