In Croatia, Koc families are generally Croats (from Trogir ), very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Trogir and Split.
Prevalence
About 20 people with faimily name Koc live in Croatia today, in 10 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in two Croatian counties, four cities and threee other places, mostly in Kastel Stari (<10), Trogir (<10), Zagreb (<5), Split (<5), and in Kastel Novi (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over thirty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
