Kljajić families are predominantly Croats and they are mostly from Bosnian Krajina , rarely Serbs and Bosniaks (from Bosnian Krajina ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bosnian Krajina (Kotor Varos area) and in Bosanian Posavina (Bosanski Brod area). In Jakotina in Bosnian Krajina every third inhabitant had the family name Kljajić.
Prevalence
About 1800 people with faimily name Kljajić live in Croatia today, in 730 households. There were 250 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in all Croatian counties, in 73 cities and 185 other places, mostly in Zagreb (295), Slavonski Brod (250), Zbjeg in Pleternica area (60), Sesvete (55), and in Vetovo in Orahovica area (45).
