Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Klajn live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 70 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 10 cities and threee other places, mostly in Djakovo (<10), Osijek (<10), Zagreb (<10), Kula in Orahovica area (<10), and in Cakovec (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over sixty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
