In Croatia, Kesegi families are predominantly Croats (from Osijek area ), rarely Hungarians (also from Osijek area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Osijek area and in Beli Manastir area.
Prevalence
About 10 people with faimily name Kesegi live in Croatia today, in 7 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are only located in two Croatian cities and 5 other places, mostly in Osijek (<10), Bilje in Osijek area (<5), and in Knezevi Vinogradi (<5), Grabovac (<5) and Zmajevac (<5) in Beli Manastir area.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1929 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
