Kereša families are Croats and they are mostly from Zlatar area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Zlatar area. In Gornja Konjščina in Zlatar area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Kereša.
Prevalence
About 150 people with faimily name Kereša live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 150 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 12 cities and 19 other places, mostly in Varazdin (20), in Gornja Konjscina (15) and Konjscina (15) in Zlatar area, Turcin in Varazdin area (10), and in Sesvete (<10).
