In Croatia, Kenda families are generally Croats (from Delnice area ), very rarely Italians (from Rijeka ), and barely Hungarians (from Zapresic ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Rijeka and Osijek. In Kranjci in Cabar every eighth inhabitant had the family name Kenda.
Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Kenda live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 110 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 6 other places, mostly in Zagreb (15), Rijeka (<10), Sisak (<10), Prezid (<10), and in Zapresic (<5).
