In Croatia, Keleč families are Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bosnian Krajina (Sipovo area) and in Rijeka. In Olići in Bosnian Krajina every third inhabitant had the family name Keleč.
Prevalence
Only a few people with faimily name Keleč live in Croatia today, in three households only. They are located in only four naselja i to in Rijeka (<5), Zagreb (<5), Cavtat in Dubrovnik area (<5), and in Mokosica (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
