About 50 people with faimily name Kasteljan live in Croatia today, in 16 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than doubled. They are located in four Croatian counties, four cities and threee other places, mostly in Zagreb (15), Retkovci in Vinkovci area (15), in Kackovec (<10) and Radakovo (<10) in Zabok area, and in Mali Losinj on the Island of Losinj (<10).
