In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Rijeka. In Gorenci in Vrbovsko every seventh inhabitant had the family name Kapš.
Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Kapš live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 9 other places, mostly in Zagreb (10), Rijeka (10), Blazevci (<10), Podrvanj in Rijeka area (<5), and in Ivanic-Grad (<5).
