Kapor families are frequently Croats and they are mostly from the Island of Korcula , rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Dubrovnik and Zagreb. In Mirilovići in East Herzegovina nearly every inhabitant had the family name Kapor.
Prevalence
About 120 people with faimily name Kapor live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 60 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 15 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Blato on the Island of Korcula (15), Dubrovnik (15), Korcula on the Island of Korcula (15), and in Rijeka (<10).
