Jusić families are mainly Bosniaks and they are mostly from middle Bosnia , whereas often Croats (from Cazinska Krajina Region, Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Bosanska Krupa area) and in Bosnian Krajina (Kotor Varos area). In Spahići in Cazins Region (Bosnia) every second inhabitant had the family name Jusić.
Prevalence
About 170 people with faimily name Jusić live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 27 cities and 23 other places, mostly in Zagreb (40), Rijeka (15), Pula (10), Dubrovnik (10), and in Sisak (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1571 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
