Jurlina families are Croats and they are mostly from the Island of Pasman. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zadar and on the Island of Pasman. In Bukvik in Orahovica area every fourth inhabitant had the family name Jurlina.
Prevalence
About 670 people with faimily name Jurlina live in Croatia today, in 290 households. There were 530 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 30 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 27 cities and 35 other places, mostly in Brisevo in Zadar area (85), Zagreb (80), Seline on the Island of Pasman (70), Poljica (55), and in Bukvik in Orahovica area (50).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1929 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
