In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Zlatar area. In Lobor in Zlatar area every tenth inhabitant had the family name Jureković.

About 160 people with faimily name Jureković live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 170 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 13 cities and 19 other places, mostly in Zagreb (60), Klokovec in Krapina area (15), Lobor in Zlatar area (15), Zapolje in Nova Gradiska area (10), and in Mali Losinj on the Island of Losinj (10).
