About 100 people with faimily name Jurač live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 110 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Split (25), Lozisca on the Island of Brac (10), and in Kraljevec na Sutli (<10) and Gornji Cemehovec (<10) in Zabok area.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over fifty times, the first time 1750 in source 18th Century Census.
