Jovičić families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Glina area , whereas often Croats (from Slavonski Brod area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Osijek. In Brdijelji in Tuzla Region (Bosnia) every second inhabitant had the family name Jovičić.
