Jakovina families are Croats and they are mostly from Zapresic area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Zapresic area. In Ključ Brdovečki in Zapresic area every fifth inhabitant had the family name Jakovina.
Prevalence
About 210 people with faimily name Jakovina live in Croatia today, in 100 households. There were 260 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 20 cities and 21 other places, mostly in Zagreb (50), Senkovec in Zapresic area (40), Zapresic (15), Prigorje Brdovecko in Zapresic area (15), and in Split (10).
