In Croatia, Jaklić families are almost entirely Croats (from Orahovica area ), barely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zlatar and Zagreb. In Završje Belečko in Zlatar every sixth inhabitant had the family name Jaklić.
Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Jaklić live in Croatia today, in 17 households. There were 90 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 7 other places, mostly in Zagreb (10), Osijek (<10), Dolci (<10), Cetekovac in Orahovica area (<10), and in Poznanovec in Lepoglava area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
