Ivandić families are Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia. According to some sources they are from Imotski area and Sinja. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Maglaj area) and in Bosnian Krajina (Prijedor area).
Prevalence
About 850 people with faimily name Ivandić live in Croatia today, in 350 households. There were 310 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than doubled. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 45 cities and 73 other places, mostly in Zagreb (145), Split (65), Brnaze (40), Promajna in Makarska area (40), and in Makarska (40).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
