In Croatia, Inhof families are almost entirely Croats (from Orahovica area ), very rarely Germans (from Osijek ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Osijek and Beli Manastir. In Brestovačka Brda in Daruvar area every twentieth inhabitant had the family name Inhof.
Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Inhof live in Croatia today, in 15 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are only located in in 7 Croatian cities and four other places, mostly in Osijek (<10), Bankovci in Orahovica area (<10), Visnjevac (<10), Cepin in Osijek area (<5), and in Virovitica (<5).
