Iličić families are Croats and they are mostly from Cazinska Krajina Region , Bosnia. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Sanski Most area) and in Herzegovina (Grude area). In Škrljevita in Cazins Region (Bosnia) every fifth inhabitant had the family name Iličić.
Prevalence
About 980 people with faimily name Iličić live in Croatia today, in 370 households. There were 120 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 49 cities and 73 other places, mostly in Zagreb (210), Novska (60), Vinkovci (50), Alilovci in Pozega area (40), and in Osijek (35).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
