Hudin families are Croats and they are mostly from Lepoglava. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Lepoglava and Cakovec. In Jazbina Višnjička in Lepoglava every third inhabitant had the family name Hudin.
Prevalence
About 120 people with faimily name Hudin live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 120 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 10 cities and 12 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Cakovec (20), Sracinec in Varazdin area (15), Jazbina Visnjicka (10), and in Donja Visnjica (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
