In Croatia, Hroh families are predominantly Croats (from Daruvar area ), rarely Czechs (also from Daruvar area ), and very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pakrac and in Daruvar area.
Prevalence
About 10 people with faimily name Hroh live in Croatia today, in 8 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in only four Croatian places: in Sirac in Daruvar area (<10), Zakorenje in Pozega area (<5), Zagreb (<5), and in Pakrani in Daruvar area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
