Horžić families are Croats and they are mostly from Ivanic-Grad area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Varazdin and Varazdinske Toplice. In Hrastovec Toplički in Varazdinske Toplice every tenth inhabitant had the family name Horžić.

About 160 people with faimily name Horžić live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 170 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 15 cities and 18 other places, mostly in Valpovo (15), Sisak (10), Zagreb (10), Zadar (10), and in Hrastovec Toplicki (10).
