In Croatia, Hojka families are mainly Czechs (from Daruvar area ), less frequently Croats (from Novska area ), and barely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Daruvar area and in Zagreb.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Hojka live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in four Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 5 other places, mostly in Dugo Selo (20), Zagreb (<10), Kutina (<10), Daruvar (<10), and in Dezanovac in Daruvar area (<5).
