In Croatia, Higi families are predominantly Croats (from Osijek ), rarely Germans (also from Osijek ), and very rarely Hungarians (again from Osijek ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Osijek and in Tuzla Region, Bosnia (Tuzla area).
