Habdija families are Croats and they are mostly from Krizevci. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Krizevci and Zagreb. In places Žibrinovec and Osijek Vojakovački in Krizevci every tenth inhabitant had the family name Habdija.
Prevalence
About 150 people with faimily name Habdija live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 230 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 8 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Krizevci (20), Zibrinovec (15), Koprivnica (10), and in Stari Bosnjani (10).

Family name Habdija (including: Chhabdiya , Chabdiya ) is present in five countries on two continents.
