Surname Grba in modern Croatia

Grba families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Slunj area , but often Croats (from Ogulin ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Ogulin and in Slunj area. In places Međeđak and Lička Jesenica in Slunj area every fifth inhabitant had the family name Grba.

About 230 people with faimily name Grba live in Croatia today, in 130 households. There were 520 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly.
They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 25 cities and 24 other places, mostly in Zagreb (30), Rijeka (30), in Medjedjak (25) and Plaski (20) in Slunj area, and in Ogulin (15).
