Gorički families are Croats and they are mostly from Sveti Ivan Zelina area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Zabok. In Zleć in Zabok area every third inhabitant had the family name Gorički.
Prevalence
About 790 people with faimily name Gorički live in Croatia today, in 340 households. There were 950 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 37 cities and 85 other places, mostly in Zagreb (130), Bedekovcina in Lepoglava area (105), Beloslavec in Sveti Ivan Zelina area (45), Zlec in Zabok area (35), and in Grdenci (30).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
