In Croatia, Gnus families are Croats (from Pregrada ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pregrada and Zagreb.
Prevalence
Only a few people with faimily name Gnus live in Croatia today, in five households only. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in two Croatian cities only, in Zagreb (<5) and Zapresic (<5).
Outside Croatia
Family name Gnus is present in 10 countries on three continents. The family name "Gnus " is used by some 200 people in Poland , about 60 in Russian Federation , and small number of people in the United States.
