Glavičić families are almost entirely Croats and they are mostly from Labin , barely Serbs and Italians. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Labin and Senj. In Kranjci in Labin every fourth inhabitant had the family name Glavičić.
Prevalence
About 300 people with faimily name Glavičić live in Croatia today, in 130 households. There were 340 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 20 cities and 30 other places, mostly in Labin (40), Senj (30), Rabac (30), Makarska (25), and in Zagreb (20).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
