Prevalence
About 120 people with faimily name Gereci live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 12 cities and 15 other places, mostly in Zagreb (30), in Laz Stubicki (30) and Laz Bistricki (10) in Zlatar area, Sesvete (<10), and in Garesnica (<10).
Outside Croatia
At least two families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to the United States (1) and Germany (1). Family name Gereci (including: Gerecci , Gerezi ) is present in 7 countries on three continents. The family name "Gereci " is used by few people in the United States.
