About 20 people with faimily name Galjan live in Croatia today, in 9 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located and another small Croatian place , mostly in Zagreb (10), Velika Gorica (<10), Daruvar (<5), Sisak (<5), and in Stara Novalja on the Island of Pag (<5).
