In Croatia, Galičić families are almost entirely Croats (from Valpovo ), very rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Nasice area and in Belisce.
Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Galičić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in four Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 6 other places, mostly in Valpovo (25), in Djurdjenovac (10) and Koska (<10) in Nasice area, Viskovci in Djakovo area (<10), and in Gat (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
