In Croatia, Gajanović families are Croats by relative majority (from Zagreb ), equally Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Bosanian Posavina (Bosanska Gradiska area). In Vilusi in Bosanian Posavina every fourtieth inhabitant had the family name Gajanović.
Prevalence
Only a few people with faimily name Gajanović live in Croatia today, in four households only. They are located in three Croatian cities only: in Sesvete (<5), Omis (<5), and in Split (<5).
Outside Croatia
Family name Gajanović (including: Gajanovic , Gayanovich and Galyanovich ) is present in 11 countries on three continents.
