About 30 people with faimily name Frančeski live in Croatia today, in 11 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number tripled. They are only located in threee Croatian cities and threee other places, mostly in Postira on the Island of Brac (15), Split (10), Slavonski Brod (<5), Zagreb (<5), and in Marusevec in Ivanec area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
