Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Firić live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and four other places, mostly in Split (30), Klis in Solin area (10), Vuka in Djakovo area (10), Osijek (<10), and in Sinj (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
