Fehir families are frequently Croats and they are mostly from Djakovo area , rarely Hungarians. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Djakovo.
Prevalence
About 110 people with faimily name Fehir live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 150 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 15 cities and 22 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Nasice (<10), Veliki Grdjevac in Grubisno Polje area (<10), Kutina (<10), and in Darda in Osijek area (<10).
Outside Croatia
Family name Fehir is present in 11 countries on three continents. The family name "Fehir " is used by small number of people in the United States , small number in Canada , and small number of people in Sweden.
