They are located in threee Croatian counties, two cities and four other places, mostly in Zadobarje (40), Karlovac (25), Rijeka (<5), Belajske Poljice in Duga Resa area (<5), and in Mahicno (<5).

Family name Fanjak is present in four countries on two continents. "Fanyak " is used by small number of people in the United States.
